The afternoon session, chaired by Alessandro Ruo Rui of the Conservatory of Turin, included three lecture-recitals focusing on Bach transcriptions by Italian pianists.                                               

The figure of Sergio Fiorentino was then remembered by Paolo Munaò, with numerous examples from his acclaimed recordings and from transcriptions played by Munaò himself.

The young musicologist and composer Gizela Selden captured the modernist trends by multi-faced works and relationships in Europe, after an early training with the jewish piano virtuoso and educator István Thomán. Then, she will be a pupil of Bartók, later disceple of Ferruccio Busoni, journalist for PRAGER TAGEBLATT, DIE WELTBÜHNE, PESTER LLOYD.

Eminent close friends were Stefan Zweig, Dmitri Mitropoulos and Bruno Walter, Albert Einstein, also Gustav Mahler in a way. Married with Ernst Goth, she lived most of her life in Florence.
